BIO
Bio or Description | A former Army officer, I graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2009. I served five years in the Infantry, completing Air Assault, Airborne, and Ranger Schools as well as a combat tour to Afghanistan, where I led over 120 dismounted patrols and earned the Bronze Star and the Combat Infantryman Badge. After my service, I obtained my Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the NSCA and my Master’s Degree in Exercise and Wellness from Arizona State University, where I also received the Outstanding Masters Scholar, Teacher and Leader Award. In 2017, I launched my own strength and conditioning facility in Phoenix, AZ which is still in operation today with over 250 active members. My heart has always been in the business of helping people, but it wasn’t until 2020 that I began to discover my true calling of helping other veterans regain their purpose within their communities. I got involved in a non-profit that utilizes physical fitness as the vehicle for mental health transformations and currently serve as the organization’s Executive Director and lead coach. It is within this role (and after three life changing Ayahuasca ceremonies in Peru) that I discovered the power of integrating the lessons taught by plant medicine into my own life and adjusted my life path accordingly. I believe with all of my heart that psychedelics are the most amazingly powerful tools we have available to us on our uniquely winding roads towards self discovery and living our most authentic lives. But they cannot do the work for us, so I am committed to continuing this work on myself as well as helping others through their own. The idea behind plant medicines is not to chase the trip they provide and spend the majority of your time experiencing non-ordinary reality (though it is admittedly extraordinary). It is to interpret and integrate your experiences so that you may live closer to your true self on an everyday basis. It is to begin to identify when to listen to and when to silence the court jester in your head that is your ego and begin honoring the noble king (or queen) that is your true self.No matter what walk of life you are from, I would love to be a part of your journey in this space, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to help. |
