BIO
Bio or Description | Hi, I am Ashly, a trauma-informed integration and recovery coach. Life brings complexities that don’t always fit into neat narratives, estranged relationships, unresolved conflicts, addictions, loss, and choices we never expected to make. I guide those who are navigating these challenges, integrating life’s experiences, untangling behavioral addictions, exploring alternative modalities for personal growth, and learning to hold grace for themselves along the way. I have lived the deep contradictions of family and loss. I lost a father who was once a source of pain, yet later became a part of my healing. Grieving someone who once caused harm carries a complex weight, the conflict of mourning a person who wasn’t always safe, yet learning that in the end, reconciliation and compassion made an impact. At the same time, I’ve grieved a mother who is still alive but was never truly available. Consumed by her own addictions and a lifelong need to be seen as the victim, she wasn’t able to be the nurturing presence her children needed. Her lack of accountability in the harm she caused ultimately showed me how to name my own roles in the turbulent upbringing of my own children, driving me to become the mother I never had. Now, I am an empty nester, with two children serving in the military and one on her own estranged path, carrying unhealed parts and generational wounds. I specialize in working with mothers and individuals who feel disconnected, whether from their children, their parents, their past, or even themselves. I also support mothers who have used alcohol to cope with the pressures of motherhood and now find themselves at a crossroads, ready to step into something different. I work with those struggling with focus, overwhelm, and emotional dysregulation, recognizing that these patterns are often rooted in past survival mechanisms rather than personal shortcomings. Chronic hypervigilance, scattered thoughts, and patterns of self-sabotage are not personal failings; they are adaptations to what once felt necessary to survive. Through mindful somatic integration and nervous system awareness, I help clients slow down, reconnect with themselves, and develop sustainable strategies for inner regulation. One of my most powerful tools is perceptive questioning, helping clients see themselves and their experiences through a new lens. I hold space for those who feel lost in trauma responses, unhealthy coping mechanisms, or unresolved pain. Through somatic awareness and deep integration work, I guide clients toward reclaiming their inner stability, breaking cycles of suffering, and moving forward with intention. A key part of this process is cultivating self-accountability, recognizing your role in your own experiences, not as a source of blame, but as a path to personal agency and empowerment. If you are here, you are already seeking something more, a way to make sense of your experiences, to alchemize your struggles into strength. Let’s walk that path together. |
