BIO
Bio or Description | Hi, my name is Amie and I’m a practitioner of acupuncture, plant medicine, psychedelic integration, nutrition, movement, and breath therapy – and all things natural and healing to the body and the soul. This has been my profession and passion for over 25 years, following a decade working in law, technology, and policy research, and a fated ski accident that ultimately led me to study holistic medicine. I’m also a mom, athlete, and avid world traveler. I was born and raised in Utah as a non-Mormon, with alcoholism and mental illness in my caregiver lineage, which paved my long path of feeling different from others, unworthy and less-than, suffering from anxiety and depression, and making many poor decisions because I was not fully aware of my wounds. I now understand how hidden scars we carry from our ancestry and upbringing manifest in our adult lives, emotions, relationships, and addictive behaviors. Entheogens continue to help me personally uncover and heal some of the deep traumas and dissociation I have experienced over my lifetime as a child, teenager, and adult. They have toned down and even removed some of my old fears, shame, and resentments. They have also shown me how to forgive, find self-worth, and gain clarity of purpose and next steps whenever I’m at a crossroads. Plant medicine and energy healing have been my best transformational therapies, but the profound results show up when I integrate messages and commit to making the necessary changes in my life. What I love about psychedelic integration is the opportunity for clients to discover the root source of their suffering through deep reflection, and then create their own healing and recovery plans from a place of inner wisdom. I will be there to support, guide, and hold sacred space for you during this transformation. I will create a safe container to ask important questions and help you prepare for your own personal journey, and then walk through the fire. As I have personally experienced this type of deep, and also sometimes very difficult inner work, I know how potent it can be to have guidance if you want to make real, lasting changes in your life and show up to be your best self. I hope to support you on your path to self-discovery. |

TESTIMONIALS
Testimonials From Clients | As a corporate/family guy, I was intrigued by plant medicine but didn’t know if it was right for me. Amie was so helpful in explaining the process of a journey and letting me decide what might work best, and then she guided me every step of the way. I loved her homework assignments and let me say, all of my relationships have improved since I started working with her! –Rob R. Amie is an exceptional acupuncturist and coach who takes the time to listen to her clients and provides a very nurturing experience. Each time I work with her, I come away feeling renewed. As a single, working mother, it is difficult to find time for self-care, so I appreciate that Amie brings a deep understanding of the stressors that impact my mental health and well-being. I value the insight and accountability she offers on diet, exercise, meditation, and sleep, and she even teaches me how to do acupressure on myself! -Nicole M. This was my first time using a coach, and I was a bit nervous, but Amie made it easy and enjoyable. She is direct, intuitive, kind, and very knowledgeable. She recommended visualization exercises and lifestyle suggestions to support my growth between our sessions. I saw her for PTSD, which is one of her specialties, and her coaching was a huge component of my healing. -Tracy R. |
