Real Stories. Real Coaches.
Real Breakthroughs.

This isn’t just a coach training. It’s a doorway to something deeper. And no one says it better than the people who’ve experienced it firsthand.

Below, you’ll find unfiltered stories of growth, courage, and transformation from the coaches who’ve taken the journey.

“The Being True To You coaching training program has been nothing short of transformative for me. I enrolled seeking deeper insights into coaching and to explore a possible career path that resonated with my ethics and passions, but what I encountered was a profound personal awakening. The program provided a safe, supportive, yet challenging environment where I not only learned about coaching but also applied every lesson to my own life. It has helped me establish and respect my personal boundaries, understand my worldview more deeply, utilize heart-centered communication with others, confront control patterns, and find hope amidst addiction recovery. Most crucially, it guided me back to my authentic self, reigniting a sense of identity and purpose I hadn’t felt in years. This journey has reshaped my life in ways I could never have imagined, and I am forever grateful.

Honestly, after engaging with Being True To You, I’ve never felt more equipped to guide others through their own transformative journeys of self-discovery. I was plagued by fear, hesitation, and self-doubt, my mouse hovering over the ‘Enroll Now’ button, but trusting the process has led me to authenticate my own heart centered compass. I left behind a 12-year career in law enforcement before the course ended, confident in my readiness. The most significant readiness I feel is in having a robust set of tools and frameworks to maintain the highest ethical, moral, non-judgmental, and supportive environment for someone’s self-led transformation. Transitioning to this new path, the only area I feel I need more support with is not feeling alone while I proceed and continuing to enhance my practice.

Being True To You has taught me two vital lessons: it’s okay to seek support, and that support is readily available. With their extensive continuing support options through the Blue Lotus membership, continuing coaching training, or the business/trip sitters training. I find immense comfort knowing professional coaching and ongoing support from Being True To You will be there when I will need it most.”

“The Being True to You transformational coaching & training has quite literally changed my life; so much so, that I feel as if I am a completely different version of myself, a better version. This newer, better version is clearer, more intentional, calmer and more focused. I’ve discovered and connected with myself and others on a deeper level than I ever thought possible, which has made me more conscious of who I truly am, what is truly important to me and the importance of the community you engage with.

By learning how to coach, and then practicing the art of coaching, I have revealed layers of myself that I was not conscious of prior to this endeavor. It’s as if becoming a coach to help others learn to be true to themselves has indirectly allowed access to my own abilities to be true to myself! Slowly connecting to and removing blocks, uncovering controlling processes and regaining insights from transformational experiences has provided me the opportunity to embody the words of this organization, “Being True to You”. I can’t say enough how grateful and surprised I am by this journey over the last 5 months. It is truly a powerful space for the discovery of self.”

“The Being True To You coach training has taught me the knowledge and skills I need to successfully coach clients through their psychedelic journeys. Going into the program, I wasn’t sure if integration coaching is something I would like to do long-term, but as I learn and internalize the lessons from each lecture, the more I realize that I am meant to come across this program, as it led me to my soul’s purpose. Since starting the course, I have become a better listener and an even more present, genuine human. I am grateful for the last 5 months and the time I got to spend with such an amazing group of like-minded people.”

“My intention for studying this course with BTTY was to re-align myself to what I believe is my purpose in my life and to immerse myself into course materials, practical sessions and community. I’ve spent the last 5 years working in fields that are not in alignment with my purpose and gifts. For some of these years, it was a necessary evil because mandates forced me out of my social work role. For all of 2024, I had the strong desire to move towards my alignment / true self and I very much see this course as a vehicle towards that. I needed to develop my confidence and connect with likeminded people which the course gave me.”

“The impact has been, unexpectedly, profound. It started as an interest in helping others prepare for and integrate their psychedelic journeys, but it turned out to be one of the most helpful and insightful journeys to my authenticity that I’ve encountered. The language used in this course resonated with me. While full with useful knowledge, it didn’t read like a textbook weighed down with citations and references. It was like reading a manual to your inner psyche which achieved the goals of both helping us help others and helping us help ourselves.

A longstanding question I’ve often asked myself is “who am I? what is my ‘true self’?” I would ask this question and feel completely lost. What was I even asking? I read articles and books on the concept of “self,” but it never felt like it directly addressed the question in a way that allowed me a pathway to my answer. I feel like this course has provided me a roadmap that was previously unseen and unknown to me. Much like a psychedelic journey, the course didn’t simply hand me the solutions to my problems. It pointed me in the direction of my work. I feel like I can now move into that space with confidence that the answers are on the other side of the questions I’ve learned to ask myself.”

“The Being True To You coach training has profoundly impacted my life over the past five months, fostering significant personal growth. It has allowed me to lean into discomfort, pushing me beyond my comfort zones and helping me grow in unexpected ways. This training has equipped me with many tools to continue my integration process, ensuring that I can effectively apply the insights I’ve gained from my transformational experiences. Additionally, it has connected me with some truly amazing people, creating a supportive network that has enriched both my personal and professional life. Through this journey, I’ve learned a great deal about what kind of coach and mentor I want to be, honing my skills and clarifying my vision. Overall, the training has been a catalyst for significant personal growth and has set a strong foundation for my future endeavors in coaching and mentoring.”

“Over these past five months, I now approach my choices with much more awareness and moderation. In my interactions with others, I’ve transformed my way of communicating. I realized that I used to always seek solutions to others’ problems and often gave unsolicited advice. Today, I am much more respectful of each person’s individual process, focusing on listening and asking questions that encourage them to find their own answers. While I still have room to grow, this daily practice has made me much more respectful of others’ decisions and a better friend. At the same time, even though I have more progress to make, this journey has given me a clearer understanding of the kind of life I want to live in the future. I feel more directed and focused than when I started. I can confidently say that this has been a transformative experience, equipping me with tools and insights to navigate life with greater clarity and intention. It’s been a journey of growth, grounding me in a deeper understanding of myself and my path forward.

I feel ready and eager to begin supporting clients, equipped with a range of tools to guide individuals in uncovering their own answers. I have developed a keen awareness of dependencies and their manifestations in daily life, understanding the underlying emotions and thought patterns involved. This enables me to assist clients in navigating similar challenges and developing healthier coping mechanisms. Through my evolution in communication, shifting from problem-solving to listening and encouraging self-reflection, I am prepared to empower clients in exploring their own solutions. While I do not feel prepared to navigate significant addictions, I feel confident in guiding individuals through less impactful dependencies.

Moreover, I am absolutely prepared to support individuals in preparing for entheogenic experiences, guiding them through an introspective journey that ensures they arrive ready and having already begun some of the necessary inner work. I am both curious and apprehensive about embarking on an integration process. Honestly, I’m uncertain of my readiness simply because I haven’t experienced it before, but I am curious and feel somewhat prepared. I that I’ll need to delve into many aspects on my own to truly feel prepared. Overall this course has been invaluable in providing a foundational understanding and emphasizing the various areas we must explore independently. ”

This program has expanded me in every possible way. I have a greater understanding of myself and ways to connect (even without medicine) to my inner/higher self so that I can continue to evolve. It has also helped me with how I interact with others in a more meaningful, unbiased way that brings a new level of openness for them. It has also helped me to put words/language to things I already knew or was trying to do, but didn’t ‘know’ it was a real thing. I feel like I know myself better and am able to remove myself from the ego when it shows up – which is something I was unaware of before and didn’t know I was capable of doing. I have done a lot of self-reflecting during this course and am striving to be who my higher self is calling. I am so grateful for the safe space this course provided to learn, grow and cultivate myself and the skills to help others. My new perspective has a wider lens and my level of knowledge goes so much deeper all thanks to this training!

Yes, I feel ready to help clients! I think that I am ready to help clients who want to do transformational work in any area of their life; recovery, trauma, self-improvement, etc. I also feel ready to support those who want to do ketamine integration/transformation work. Although I could probably help clients who are going on other plant medicine journeys because of all of the great training, I think I may want a bit more support in those areas since I have not personally experienced them to make sure I was helping the client, not hindering their potential transformation; I just want to be sure I’m not working outside the scope of personal knowledge.”

“The Being True to You coach training has had a broad impact on my life. There’s the obvious education needed to coach clients, but the coursework, reflections, and participatory discussions and workshops has allowed me to reflect on my own life and relationships. This training has made me a better listener and better equipped to handle difficult situations in my personal life and broader community. I really do think it’s made me a better mother and spouse as I’m able to respond to my family’s emotional and spiritual needs in a more objective, empathetic, and well-informed manner. I view the world now with a trauma-informed lens and that’s an incredibly powerful tool. I am forever grateful.”

“The Being True To You coach training has had a profound impact on how I connect with myself and others. Over the past five months, I’ve cultivated a deeper ability to listen, without jumping to conclusions or trying to “fix” things, and this has transformed how I hold space for others. I’ve learned to approach conversations with more curiosity and patience, creating a supportive environment where others can explore their truth at their own pace. At the same time, I’ve also learned to extend that same grace and compassion to myself. This program has unveiled another level of personal growth. It provides a deeper sense of meaning and a beautiful approach on how to support others.”

“I have learned a completely different way to not only talk to and respond to people, but to listen to them. This has taken center stage in not just how I interact with clients but everyone in my life. In the last 3 months I have gone through an extremely unplanned divorce. I was able to handle this with a completely different mindset and felt like I has the support of a whole community while navigating this difficult life change. I feel extremely ready for the preparation portion. I also now feel much more prepared to support my clients with addiction. I’ve learned some incredibly helpful note taking tips and ways to support a business. Most importantly I feel like I have a ton of new resources for any scenario! ”

“Psychedelics have only been on my radar for a year. My husband started ketamine for severe burnout and depression last January. After sitting with him and observing his transformation I was hooked on the idea of serving others with medicine. So I searched for a program and found Being True To You. I watched the informational webinar and was impressed but to be honest didn’t have high expectations. I wondered about the quality of the content and cohort but trusted that I would gain something and have a credential. Lesson one. Leave your expectations at the door.

This program has super-charged my gifts. It truly has made me a better, more supportive person. And I think/thought that I was pretty awesome before. The heart-centered communication skills and framework have changed how I interact with people, especially those who have asked for advice in the past. My husband has also noticed this and can’t speak highly enough of the program based on my skill development. We are both blown away, grateful and excited for possibilities that lay ahead.”

“Over the past five months, the “Being True To You” coaching training has had a profound impact on both my personal and professional life. It’s been such a transformative experience that I often find myself reflecting on how much I’ve grown— not just in what I’ve learned, but in how I show up for others and for myself. One of the biggest takeaways for me has been connecting more deeply to my true self.
The way the program explored the idea of the true self really resonated with me, and it’s helped me clarify what’s most important in my life. I feel like I’m living more authentically now, with a clearer sense of purpose and alignment in what I do.
Learning about psychedelic integration has been another huge shift for me. Before this training, I didn’t fully appreciate how much work happens after a transformational experience. Now I understand how crucial integration is to making real, lasting changes. I feel more confident in my ability to hold space for clients as they process and navigate their own shifts. It’s been eye-opening to realize that sometimes the most important thing I can do is simply be present and supportive.
The program has also taught me a lot about working with people in recovery. I’ve gained tools and strategies to help clients break free from patterns that no longer serve them, but even more than that, I’ve learned how to support them in rediscovering their strength and potential. It’s so inspiring to see how much healing is possible when someone is truly supported.
Beyond the skills, though, what stands out the most is how much I’ve shifted as a person. I feel more empathetic, more patient, and more grounded in my role as a coach. This program has been a gift—it’s given me the tools to guide others, but also the ability to trust myself in the process. I’m walking away from this training not just with knowledge, but with a deeper connection to who I am and the confidence to move forward with purpose.

The program taught me to view suffering as an opportunity for growth, and I’ve seen how powerful it can be to help someone reframe their challenges and move toward a more empowered perspective. This mindset has not only impacted how I show up for clients but also how I navigate my own challenges, which I think makes me more grounded and relatable as a coach.”

“Where to begin? At the deepest level, words can’t describe the impact BTTY has had on my life, it can only be felt. I felt it all. I came into this course without any desire to start a coaching business or be a coach. I simply wanted to learn how to be a better communicator, with an emphasis on listening and growing in compassion for one’s experience. Week after week came with such sweet personal transformation through the beautiful container set in lecture discussions, the vulnerability required to be present in the workshops, finding beautiful friends; all while unknowingly putting myself on a rocketship with my true self as the autopilot destination. The layers of shame, guilt, sadness, grief I have been able to transform into compassion, gratitude, humility, has been my own integration. What I discovered, however, is my own personal transformation increasingly opened my heart up to seeing how transforming my past qualifies me to lovingly support others in their own transformation.

Through this course, I have been able to become open to the idea that intentions can change and I have started my own Life Coaching business, have been blessed to serve four clients, and continue to be in awe and what directions and opportunities the universe has put in front of me. In all 30 lectures and the many workshops, the greatest thing I have learned from this beautiful course is this: The solution is not to be found, because it exists within us already. We are it. It is our duty to lean into anything that blocks or resists from going within. Secondly, knowing this, we have a sacred duty to support clients and anyone put in our path to realize the very same for themselves.”

“ Specifically, & personally through one of the assignment questions I was led into a process of ‘healing the mother wound’. This has been an incredible healing that’s brought a profound softness into my interactions with female family members and, friends who are in a similar behavioral pattern as the one I endured with my mother. I have reconnected with my sister, who I’ve been estranged from for several years, and have boundaries now, in a healthy way. I am a supportive friend and sister, from my heart, not from my wounds. I am far more respectful of my intuition and my conversations are more heart centered with everyone!! I can look more objectively at conversations and provide insightful questions rather than opinion.
BTTY has helped me to open spaces of shame and clear some density that had me stuck in ‘not enough’. I have learned language and protocol around coaching, that I did not have prior to the training. I absolutely DO feel ready to begin supporting clients. Providing meaningful conversations, tools, asking probing questions and helping to create a plan is all in alignment for me, with those seeking transformation and integration for psychedelic journeys and beyond.”

“Taking this course has been an incredible journey and such a blessing in my life. The breadth of knowledge passed along in the lectures and workshops is nothing shy of remarkable. There is so much integrity in the entirety of this program and the loving intention at the foundation is palpable. Every person I have encountered as part of the BTTY team; teachers, coaches, mentors, administrators, etc. have been wonderful, kind-hearted, and compassionate people. It has been a wonderful experience to join a community of like-minded people such as this, including all of the students in my cohort.
This course has highlighted personal strengths along with assisting in the discovery of areas in my life that have been holding me back. The approach taken to view one’s issues and shortcomings as opportunities for growth, without judgment, has made a particular impact on me. I have had many personal insights during these past 5 months and look forward to actualizing the benefits this course has, and will continue to have, along my path to the true-self. Among other benefits, this course has helped me to kick-start a more robust daily practice of self-care. I have started a breathwork routine each morning. I have been doing more yoga and stepping out into nature more often. My diet has improved. My stress levels are dropping. I have love and gratitude for life and the BTTY collective.
I look forward to combining the knowledge and skills I’ve gained in this course with my increasing self-growth to bring into practice with clients. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

“I graduated from Being True To You in August 2021, and over the past few years, I’ve stepped into my coaching practice part-time while also conceiving, birthing, and raising my daughter. The training helped me weave together so many aspects of my life, allowing me to recognize my unique offering to the world.
Integration was the missing piece, the reason I sought out the program in the first place and the realization that integration begins the moment you recognize a shift is needed was life-changing. It not only transformed my own journey but became the foundation of the methodology I now share with my clients. The practice coaching, tools, and workshops gave me the confidence to step into my role as a coach, bridging the gap between learning and actually serving. Having structured opportunities to practice, lead, and refine my skills helped me trust my ability to support clients in a meaningful way.
What I learned in the training, along with the continued support from the alumni community, has helped me build a practice where I can support clients in real transformation while also maintaining the flexibility to be present for my family. The alumni resources and ongoing learning opportunities have kept me engaged, growing, and evolving in my work, making this program an investment that continues to support me well beyond the initial training.”

“Engaging in the BTTY Coach Training has ushered in so much personal growth and healing for me. It came in perfect timing for me after the loss of my brother due to addiction. I only wish I could have engaged in this training while there may have still been time to support him. I have been in the therapeutic support industry for almost 18 years and have taken many, many continuing education trainings. I was not expecting to be so wowed by the thoroughness and caliber of excellence of the BTTY Coach Training. It has taken me almost two decades to come to the same understandings about the path of transformation that we as individuals can each take in our lives. Anyone taking this training will have a head start not only in helping their clients, they will heal, learn and grow internally along the way!
Though I have been supporting clients for close to 2 decades, the BTTY Coach training has expanded my confidence and the arenas in which I can offer my services. My existing clients have seen a big boost in my superpowers to serve, witness and support them on their paths of self-discovery and transformation. I look forward to implementing many of the BTTY Transformational Coaching ideas and methods into my practice.”

“One really unexpected benefit was learning how to learn again after 35 years of not being in a regimented school/training situation. The way I learn seems to have shifted in some ways and that’s likely my somewhat failing memory. Throughout the lectures, I’ve been able to apply many of the lessons learned to my own life and really opened my eyes to methods of healing one’s mind and spirit. This has lead to some really nice breakthroughs in my life.
I thought I had dialed-in my nutrition and physical body care but I learned some valuable lessons here as well. Particularly in all the methods for removing toxins from the body and mind. I have never been exposed to somatic work but leaned in and was slowly able to feel into my body and become aware through practice. This was a very pleasant surprise. The same thing with the last workshop and Elaine’s lesson on analyzing dreams. I plan to start journaling some of my recurring and intense dreams for my own analysis and benefit. And just for fun too. After several medicine journeys it became very apparent that what’s lacking in the world of entheogens and with facilitators is the idea of quality coaching for preparing for a journey and integration after. I feel like I’ve received plenty of insight with my work but so much more could have been realized. The idea of neural plasticity is something I’ve never been exposed to and it feels like this is extremely important during integration. There’s a big win for me!
many of my current relationships, I realize that my life is missing a great community to lean into. This has been one of the greatest things I’ll take away from my time at BTTY. So many wonderful people who’ve helped me learn and grow personally. I’ve had some beautiful and impactful interactions that have changed my life for the better. I’m so grateful and I’m sure I’ve made friendships that will last a very long time. What a wonderful blessing!
I am ready to begin supporting clients immediately and feel very confident in my ability to create and hold a container that supports honesty, trust and vulnerability. Understanding that this is a big part of the coaching relationship is the fuel for my confidence. Having been a business coach for the last 15 years, I have all the coaching tools, infrastructure and logistics dialed in at a high level.”

“This training has had a massive impact on my life as I feel I have been in ceremony, therapy and class all rolled into one. I have processed and transformed a huge amount of grief during this time from the passing of my parents, which I am extremely grateful for all of the support I’ve received from the instructors, my mentor Tove along with the pro-bono coaching work we did together (and thankful for Susyn offering that to me), as well as the other students I’ve been fortunate to connect with. I have learned a lot of great new tools along with feeling more confident in all the work I’ve been doing over the course of my life which, coupled with this training, has prepared me to be an outstanding coach.
I have also become more confident with what I have to share with others. I also appreciate that this course challenged me and required me to really focus during a time when I felt like I had no tether. This training provided grounding for me and pushed me to do the work. I’m also grateful for all of the new things I learned about addiction, although I’d been digging at it my whole life, there were some important things I learned which helped me to forgive myself with how I’d been with my parents.”

“Wow, where to begin? BTTY curriculum and coaches have challenged me to deeply understand and radically grow from past addictive behaviors which I had ceased long before the program, but not truly recovered from. In taking the program with my wife, our marriage has been positively impacted as we’ve both taken even more responsibility for examining, healing, and transforming past traumas and other powerful experiences. I have gained a richer understanding of heart-focused communication that serves me in my personal and professional life, especially as it relates to leaning into somatic wisdom to foster powerful understanding and growth. I have had exposure to an extraordinarily diverse group of people that I otherwise would not have met. The opportunity to be courageously vulnerable myself, and to hold space for others from such diverse backgrounds was truly a gift from the universe. In short – my heart has continued to open. How truly blessed I am!”

“The Being True To You coach training has significantly and meaningfully transformed me over the past five months. Initially, I‘d hoped the training would hold me more accountable to my sobriety and I’d learn how to better communicate with myself and others. I did not expect to experience a spiritual emergence and build relationships with so many wonderful, like-minded people in this community. At first, I wasn’t certain I’d made the right career decision, and strongly felt like an imposter, but I continued to identify and relate heavily to all instructors, lectures, course guides, discussions and workshops. The instructors are so relatable, and while they’re all so incredibly unique and magically skilled, they never made the coaching magic feel unattainable.”
The personal support workshop, experiential exercises, and partner coaching especially helped me find my own voice as I developed the coaching skillset. I’ve also been in awe of my mentor, Hannah Kimyon. Hannah’s thoughtful constructive feedback, beautiful energy, and compassion exhibited throughout the course is exemplary and totally inspiring. Thank you for your belief in me. Focusing on the mantra of “me first, you second, with love”, I’ve been able to become aware of several debilitating control patterns, practice heart-centered communication and lean into my own discomfort. The nutrition workshops also gave me a foundation to fuel and nourish my body with so much more intention. I’ve lost fifteen pounds since I started this training and I’ve never felt better.

I feel blessed to have participated in this professional, deeply personal training and it has been one of the best decisions and experiences of my life. After so many weeks of partner coaching, I crave to begin supporting clients. I know my own skillset can only develop and evolve through practical experience and I’m dedicated to putting in the work. While it may start as pro bono work, I have the time, energy and focus to do it. With my multi-year experience working with ketamine therapy, I very much want to join the ketamine pod. I’m also looking so forward to continued training with the Blue Lotus program. With over 30 years of life experience working with addiction, I very much want to help clients with addiction recovery. And having already been recently offered a role leading a psychedelic integration circle, I feel competent and confident to work with clients on this front as well.

“The Being True to you training has had an incredibly significant, meaningful and positive impression on my life. I have learned about so many different, amazing perspectives and world views, and it has had an impact on all areas of my life. This program has not only helped me to understand how to better support and hold space for someone else on their journey, but has helped me to understand myself better on my own path. The lessons and workshops were dense with valuable information that I am so grateful to be able to revisit when we need to in order to further develop our skills to support others. In the last 5 months, I have been much more mindful of my listening skills, and how I respond to others.
My outlook on life has changed in the sense that now I am more forgiving, not as quick to judge others or their situation, and I feel like the empathy and compassion I possess has deepened dramatically. I now take the time to try and truly understand where others are coming from, and consider what they have been through, even if their experience is radically different that my own; I am mindful of not seeing everything through my own ‘lens’ all the time. Existential questions like, ‘why we are all here on Earth’, and ‘what is my true purpose’ have really been called into deep introspective inquiry, and I have put more energy into exploring that than ever before in my life. My spiritual practice has deepened as well, and I feel more connected to both myself, to nature and the Spirit realm that I ever have.”

“During the past five months the Being True To You coach training has deepened my understanding of my own personal transformation process. It has further helped me heal and recover from past traumas and addictions. Not only has this course helped me heal and recover, it has helped me further integrate these past experiences in a way that promotes positive growth for me physically, mentally, and spiritually. Throughout this course I have learned to appreciate past struggles and view them as gifts that are leading me closer to reuniting with my true self and to live a more authentic and fulfilling life. I have gained more appreciation for myself, others, and life in general. I now have a deeper understanding of how healing, recovery, integration, and transformation are necessary steps for positive growth and discovering meaning and purpose for one’s life. I now have more grace with myself and others. We are all in experiencing this life together.”

“BTTY has made a HUGE impact on my life in so many ways. The first way is understanding addictions from a whole new perspective, and as a recovering alcoholic, this information really opened my eyes to what was happening on a much deeper level. I am able to share this knowledge with people close to me going through this. I have also learned to be a much better listener and friend as I actually process what people are talking to me about differently. I listen in a deeper way rather than thinking of what to say next. I have built the confidence to be able to hold group integration circles at my job when I’m needed. And I’m amazed that all these things happened without me barely even having to try. Everything just came naturally.”

“I’m so grateful to have taken this course bc it made me reflect on the patterns that have contributed to my own suffering and it also helped me process triggers with the help of Danielle Schillock and just even learning how to do parts work on myself. It’s been the missing piece of my therapy journey. I’m more aware of my bodily sensations, my breathing patterns, how to verbalize my emotions. I’m more comfortable setting boundaries and asking for what I need as well as bringing more presence and compassion to difficult conversations. This course transformed me in so many nourishing ways. Thank you for helping guide me back to my True Self.”

“This is a big question of which the answer spans across many areas of my life. The Being True To You coach training has had a profound impact on my life, fostering significant personal and professional growth over the past five months.
This training has equipped me with valuable tools and techniques for guiding others through transformational experiences, while also encouraging deep self- reflection and personal development. My emotional maturity and emotional intelligence have skyrocketed because of this course, and I’ve become more empathetic, patient, and present in my interactions, both personally and professionally. The training has enhanced my ability to listen actively and ask meaningful, integrative questions, which has improved my relationships and communication skills. Heart centered communication, by itself, has made a dramatic change for me in my marriage, my relationship with my children, and even with how I communicate with my friends and employees.
Additionally, I’ve gained greater clarity and purpose in my own life journey, feeling more aligned with my values and aspirations. This period of growth has been transformative, leading to a more authentic and fulfilling way of living. Without Being True To You, my wife and I would not have the closest relationship that we ever had in 10 years of marriage – period.”

“The way I communicate with others, listen, and respond to others is night and day from before I started this course. It was one of my main goals coming in to BTTY was to work on my communication skills (specifically my listening skills) and I have seen the fruits of that work already paying off in my personal and professional life. I was blown away from the beginning lectures on addiction and that has really carried with me this entire time and I hope it’s something I carry for ever and even maybe dabble in professionally to help others in that space. The amount of amazing humans I was able to interact with through this course from coaches and peers was amazing. It challenged me to be better, to be open and vulnerable. Those who shared gifted me with their knowledge and experience. Overall, i’m much more confident in my abilities to coach and really see others!”

“I began this training course six months post a difficult journey. I was unable to make sense of aspects of the journey, it left me feeling ungrounded, unearthed, lost and in a state of panic. This course has done more for generational healing and more for me than any certificate. It has improved the relationships with those around me and most importantly the relationship with myself. I am forever changed, I see the world under a new lens, can understand my journeys at a deeper level and am grateful for the community it has brought me. As a military spouse of 20 years in the SOF Community, our marriage numbers are dwindling.
I feel very prepared to support clients, in all areas of their journey. This comprehensive course served not only me but provided me with the skills that can better serve those in my community. I learned to truly listen with my heart, learned valuable insights on how addiction is not limited to substances but can also encompass emotional and behavioral actions as well. I learned to embrace silence and truly understand that there is purpose in everything. I am at ease with relationships and myself. This course was so much more than just a certificate, it was a journey of healing.”

“This has been an incredible experience with such a wonderful group of people who I deeply connected with, along with your amazing instructors. John, Elaine, Susyn, and Markus are truly amazing, they have so much knowledge and wisdom, and have such an amazing disposition. I am very sad that this course is almost over, I will miss the BTTY community.
I have so many tools to utilize and questions to use for clients. Being in the psychedelic space there needs to be such specified training, and I love that BTTYs curriculum talks so much about transformation and spiritual development. It was an amazing refresher of coaching tips (I did a coach training four years ago). It has also improved my relationships with my friends and family (showing up for them and asking them loving and important questions, being a good listener)”

“This course came just when I asked for it. I asked for direction prior to a [medicine] ceremony. The direction that flowed from that experience confirmed and solidified what I had been desiring. I requested direction for next steps in my life and steps to take to put my grief journey to use. From the very first lecture that Deanne presented I saw how this curriculum applied to my experience.”

“I started this program 12 months after I went through something very traumatic in my life. This program has helped me in this tremendously. It has helped me understand and see where my addictions are. I realized I was mostly addicted to my thoughts and what harm they were to me as well as how much power I have to make them work for me. I also have become less judgmental, more loving and accepting of where people are at. There is so much to say here and I’m afraid I will feel up two pages. I am a better listener, more compassionate and confident than when I started. I find myself speaking with more purpose and very open and loving. I will forever be grateful of how this program has helped me in my own personal life as well as it leaves me equipped to help and coach others. Thank you BTTY!”

“Being True to You has been incredibly supportive in refining and deepening the knowledge I had prior to taking the course and has allowed me to confidently move forward with what it looks like to create my own program. The areas of knowledge I was already confident in feel expanded and clear and the areas I was less confident in feel manageable; it feels really clear what I need more education and/or practice with and where my strengths are. I have changed mostly in my own confidence that I am doing the work I’m meant to be doing. It has also helped me organize my time in different ways and stay on a schedule and a timeline. Both of which add to my personal organization and management techniques for clients. It has helped me be more efficient.”

“BTTY training was a reality check on multiple levels. The depth and thoroughness of content was a revelation in terms of exactly how much there is to learn and be aware of in terms of coaching. In the best of ways it was humbling. And, I feel like I’ve grown a tremendous amount in terms of capacity to hold space and be a safe, compassionate witness to whoever is sitting in front of me. The training has recalibrated how I consider how I approach my own life and employing the learnings in my life to be a brighter lighthouse for others. The training was a beautiful hall of mirrors to understand my own existence and how to create transformational change within my own life.”

The Being True To You coach training had a significant impact on my life and I feel I have changed and grown greatly over the past 5 months. I currently find that I can feel my emotions much more deeply, fully, process through them, and learn the importance of how going through is the only way out. I also find myself applying parts work to myself, coming to know and understand my parts more and in deep ways. I can tell that I have been integrating and feeling more whole. The ways in which I interact with loved ones and people around me have positively shifted as well as the way I show up in the world. I feel transformed in my being and can let myself be in the evolution of my journey. I have gained clarity on my control patterns and actively chose to change and rewire myself. I see patterns breaking in my family as a whole, and when I stick to higher choices, I notice patterns in others in the family breaking as well. The way in which I talk to myself, and others, and think about myself, others, and the world has grown. I have come to more deeply understand my beliefs and find myself substituting new ones that align with my true self.

There is also clarity with my values. Deep healing has occurred in this program and even though I thought I was coming into this program quite healed, I have learned more fully about healing as a wonderful continuous part of life – I truly feel more healed, and more out of my mind, and into my body and soul. I have been finding what comfortability and safety is for me and what that feels like yet also stepping out of my comfort zone and growing. The connections with my peers in partner coaching have been beautiful as well as how we showed up for each other and served each other. It was wonderful to be served and additionally wonderful, beautiful to serve. I came to understand giving and receiving with more depth.

With integration, I feel like this time in the program and everything in it has helped me integrate my medicine journeys even over a year ago. I did not exactly have the preparation or integration I needed, and now I feel more whole with integrating those experiences. There is much more clarity, further insights, and realizations. I even notice myself experiencing what I saw in the future in my journey and now experiencing in the present – I see it unfolding and feel it. It’s undeniably incredible. Going through pain and challenges is so different now and I show up for myself and others in beautiful ways. For example, I was in the middle of a multi-car accident on a highway shortly after I moved back to my home state during this program. I was once again in intense pain and experienced an assortment of head injury symptoms, but I leaned deep into my spirituality and faith, and found myself held and guided even through intense and challenging times.

I have come to truly feel and believe that life is a medicine journey. I feel a oneness with past, present, and future, along with being much more grounded and present in the now, and as each moment arises. I am finding the divinity all around me, noticing even the slightest details, beauty, and synchronicities that are undeniable which make me laugh with lightness and trust further into the process and journey. There has been freedom from my substance addiction, behavioral and thought addictions, and I have a greater awareness of myself and tendencies moving forward.
Currently, I feel so connected to the divine, held, guided, and surrounded yet still experience growth through the human experience as I lean into pain, challenges, difficulties, and hardships. My perspectives are transformed now, and I do not stay lost, instead I find myself finding the way through all emotions, experiences, and even those that at first, I may wonder if I will get through – it’s just part of the medicine journey of life. To experience life, to be, to have this gift is so precious to me. In closing, it has been an honor to learn from all the instructors and my peers, witness how people serve each other, and I feel blessed and thankful for it all.”

“The course has been a game changer for me, besides the beautiful community and the insightful mentors/teachers it provided, it also came with a whole lot of having to dig into the self and my reasons for wanting to be a coach, to rearrange my perspective on coaching and a gained awareness that I was coming from a fixer mentality, learning to be mindful of that while applying the new tools learned has been a trip to say the least. I found myself observing mostly, realizing that I tend to step forward and come up with solutions and fixings, from that place of humbleness I learned a lot and also found myself faced with my imposter side. I’m so grateful for the experience and appreciate the insights that I have gained through this. I do still want to be a coach and feel I’m entering this field with more caution, awareness and compassion, having learned the value of silence and pauses, to speak with intention and purpose and find the right questions, so that the client can find their own solutions and to meet them where they are at. The partner coaching was incredible, besides new friends made, I was put into a situation I would have previously not thought I could be a part of, the Veteran community. I learned I can be and that by asking the right questions, healing can happen and insights can be gained, even though their world could not be more different from mine, that was a beautiful moment for me and will take that experience as a gift to realizing you can be there for anyone, if your paths are meant to cross. It’s most definitely bittersweet this is now coming to an end, but I feel strongly that the community has been formed and I’m so grateful to be a part of it.
I do feel ready to begin supporting clients and trust I will flow with it as opportunities arise. I feel confident to bring this to my medicine community and offer the possibility, while also being open to new avenues that may open its doors. I feel support will be needed and is available, I look forward to joining the Blue Lotus program and feel my cohorts signal group will be very helpful as well, I feel confident to reach out to you as well, if and when something may arise. (of course considering your time and pay) I will take this next step in my journey with patience and trust that the right path in this will unfold for me, while being open, aware and ready to pounce when opportunities do present itself.”

“The Being True To You coach training has impacted my life by validating my existing knowledge and reinforcing my professional standing in this field. It has affirmed my understanding and approach to this work, making me feel more confident and recognized as a professional in this space. Additionally, the training has enriched my knowledge of addiction recovery coaching which has already come in handy with my existing clients. Lastly, the training has inspired me to develop a course on psychedelic integration and preparation.
Throughout the program, I had the privilege of connecting with incredible individuals, including the course instructors and my cohort members, who have deeply touched and inspired me. Their support and shared experiences have further fueled my passion and commitment to this transformative work.”

“First and foremost, I found that it offered much more than I had expected…and, honestly, much more than I had the capacity to fully master and integrate. I found that the course was designed in such a way as to get us students to look deeply within ourselves. During the course, I was able to relate to so much I hadn’t considered before, like my own propensity to look outside myself for solutions that can only be found within. It has really challenged me to examine myself and to become more present, as well as to find more compassion for myself and others. We all struggle and suffer in life and our experiences are so similar. I feel like I’ve begun growth when it comes to heart centered communication. I feel this has been a capacity that has really been lacking. I’m always so biased towards finding solutions and analyzing, it has been nothing short of amazing to see my growth when it comes to listening and holding space for others and myself. It’s opened up many new opportunities to relate to people.
It feels like a whole new dimension of communication has been opened up, and I’m really looking forward to developing this capacity in myself, as I can see how it can really help me in my coaching of others and in my relationships with friends and family. In the end, it has really landed with me that despite the amount of work and growth I’ve had in my life, there is still so much more…a lifetime. And that’s just what life is, I guess…I’m just grateful to be at a point in my growth that I can enjoy the struggle and process.”

“This course has allowed me to become a whole-heartedly present individual. It also guided me to so many answers/insights to things I had no idea that were in my head. I would say frankly, this course was fucking transformational…From further realizing that I endured disgusting childhood & adult trauma to learning how to have a heart-centered conversation. I feel more connected with myself, my wife and children. I now have the confidence and tools in order to start helping those who want to become the best versions of themselves. The culmination of the last five months gets summed up in a recent experience below. 100% I am ready to coach.”

“I have noticed the way I approach conversations or people sharing has changed. I am getting better at listening to listen and not listening to answer. Also being intentional when I notice I am holding onto a question while they are speaking I let it go and really listen. If the question is relevant when they are done it will still be there. It has also shown me I am capable of learning a new skill set and I have the strength and ability to make a career change. I learned its ok to be scared, nothing good ever comes from boring.”

“The program for me was almost like doing an IOP program again. I had done one in my darker days almost 10 years ago. The other interesting part of the program was that I was doing some medicine work alongside the program which allowed me to fully use all the information and group meetings to help me look at areas that I needed to work on. I am much more at peace in my life after these last 5 months work and I am glad that I did the program even if I don’t start a practice or take my time with starting a practice.”

“This has been such beautiful, divine timing for me to have said yes to this training. With being so fresh out of my marriage (19 years) … the personal benefit has been equal to the professional benefit. The thoroughness of the content and the holistic approach have been much appreciated. I feel like this training has resulted in improvements in my coaching work AND my personal relationships as well.

Yes, I feel ready. (I have been doing Integration Coaching work for just shy of a year and have been in the role of Coach for appx 10 years in various wellness capacities.) Despite my experiential background + other trainings I have completed, this training has been the most valuable to me professionally (and personally as mentioned above).”

“I have been able to re-define my world view, have new understandings and can express my true self in deeper ways. BTTY has truly helped me look deeper within myself and question whether I have been “doing the work,” and made me find ways to go deeper. One of the greatest gifts I take personally is the ability to stop and feel what is going on in my body and allow myself to move through feelings and emotions, and giving myself the grace, love, and support I had previously disassociated from.”

“This experience has been more beneficial than I could have ever anticipated. The principles, philosophies, and techniques helped me to grow personally as I processed my own trauma. Additionally, it offered me a series of tools to be able to be supportive in a non-coaching role for my spouse and one of my children as they dealt with issues that were covered in the material. It helped me to show up in ways, and to seize upon opportunities I may have otherwise missed. I do feel ready to support clients. I feel a calling to help support those recovering from a trauma. Largely, I see this as a way to pay forward and add to the types of support I received. At times I felt so alone and marginalized, I hope to be able to support someone else so that they don’t have that experience. I am not sure that I am ready to do integration coaching. It seems to me that until I have been through one of those experiences, I would be limited in my ability to help others.”

“This program is one I am very proud of because it was the hardest thing I have ever done and I do now want to share that experience with others as a coach. I will be proud to say I learned from the best at BTTY. I feel a purpose and have a clear idea of what a future looks like.”
